DAY

Oh. My. These wedges just stole my heart. Glitter? Yes, please. White? Bring it summer. Wedge? My feet thank you.
It is just me or are these shoes kinda amazing? Yeah, I know they are a bit 70s, a bit clunky, a bit showy. But you only live once. They are definitely worth a trip to the store to try on. Gah. xo

Spring Fling

the resistance is over

I love fall and winter. I love layers, the holidays, curling up and getting cozy. I am not a huge fan of summer. I mean, have you seen me? I am one pale gal. I do love spring, but I resist it like crazy… Read more…

the new hippie 1

neo hippie

I have always loved me some boho chic. David says that he was immediately drawn to my style  when we met in college, at the peak of my hippie phase. He said that he had never really seen any girls dressed that way and it fueled his crush.

dream pink wish list, a la barbie

This is a pink dream wish list. And before you say “Oh holy credit card debt” notice that I said dream. Pink, ombre and inspired by Barbie. I know pink isn’t for every girl, but seriously, how can you resist. Read more…

the gimmes: glitter miu miu

People. I have another bad case of the gimmes. I want a pair of glitter Miu Miu’s like crazy. Like. Crazy. It is not even in the realm of possibility, but I found myself in yoga pants, watching Real Housewives, drooling over these pictures of Miu Miu’s on Net-a-Porter. The hot pink sandals are divine, but if I had to choose I think I would go for gold stunners, third photo down. Gah. Do you love, or do you love? Read more…

obsessions

Did you all catch the Glitter Guide feature on Nicolette Mason? Oh, my love for this gal is monumental.  I love her fashion philosophy ( deliberately feminine), her curves, her devotion to pink and glitter.  She is well versed in culture and fashion and such an inspiration to me. Nicolette is definitely a girl after my own heart. As I poured over her blog archives last night, I had to agree with her on designer Chris Benz. I know these photos aren’t that recent and you savvy people have probably known about Chris and Nicolette for a while now, but I can’t get these images out of my brain. Read more…

sweet feet salvation

While in Charleston I spent a day exploring this city while Lissy wrapped up her conference.  It was gorgeous, I loved being outside, but about two hours before I was supposed to meet Liss I was walking with a particularly disturbing gait because my feet hurt so badly.  The sandals I was sporting seemed to rub wrong everywhere and had no support.  I decided to head back to King Street and buy a pair of shoes I could walk in.  The first store I hit was J.Crew and I bought the first shoe I saw in the store.  This glorious shoe was the Cece ballet flat.  I bought it in Sienna.  Oh, I walked out of the store with my new shoes on.  They were a little pricey, but the quality is so good and they were such a welcome relief. I am very satisfied with my purchase and am now on the hunt for some seriously walkable sandals.  Suggestions my friends?  Which pair of shoes do you have that you can log some serious mileage in?
