You guys! I am back! As a married lady!  Ok, I know I just used my exclamation point quota for the month.  I’m fine with that.  I really missed blogging. I missed the interactions.  Um, I had a super awesome amazeballs wedding, but I am still happy to be back.  It is helping me beat the post wedding blues.  It is much healthier than my other attempt at batting away those blues.  Let me explain.  While David and I were unpacking some wedding gifts into the kitchen, I took a little break to watch Smash.  I then went to the kitchen to preform a song for David.  I didn’t realize he had left all of the cabinet doors open , so what ensued was not pretty.   My really enthusiastic swinging arm made direct contact with said cabinet door.  The hinges broke off, my arm stayed on, but I am bruised and swollen and I think at one point I sobbed “I will never dance again.”  This is what it is like to be me.

  1. Welcome back and congrats! You must share pics and details. Also, if you only knew how many times I trip/fall/run into stuff, etc. It’s absurd how clumsy I am.

  2. Amazing guest posts this week Chelsea! I especially loved ‘Staying True’. While it doesn’t necessarily apply to me in terms of decor, it does in terms of everything else! I need to continually remind myself that this is about us (my fiance and I) and we will never make EVERYONE happy with our wedding choices, so we might as well just aim to plan event that’s exactly what WE want!

  3. Well hello there Mrs!! I love that you are watching Smash. I’m totes DVRing it. It’s so fun!!!!!

  4. I am just grinning reading this post! Have an absolutely wonderful 1 week wedding anniversary!!

  5. Congratulations on the wedding! I hope your arm is feeling all better now :)

  6. Welcome back darlin!! Can’t wait to hear more about it and see pics. Oh and you aren’t the only clumsy one, I feel like I’m finding mystery bruises on my legs from bumping into things!

  7. Chelsea! I just found you today via an interview post on “A Piece of Toast” blog … and this blog made me seriously laugh out loud! Primarily because it’s totally something I would do and feel as if I have discovered a kindred spirit. Humor is such a lovely quality, don’t you think?! Thanks for sharing your humility and humor! so awesome! AND i facebooked an advice quote from your interview that I struggle with daily … “it’s the fit that matters, not the size” I am trying so hard to ignore the number on the inside tag as long as it looks good! Thank you sister!

    • Little late in the commenting there, Katrina! But I like that you’re browsing the ole archives. It was a really funny moment though, because you can picture chels screaming that and stomping at the same time.
