wedding planning: hair

I am in the middle of several wedding projects, but I was thinking about how to do my hair the other day. I browsed Pinterest, I scoured Martha Stewart, but everything was looking too polished, too shellacked…and then I remembered one of my favorite ad campaigns starring the gorgeous Scarlett Johansson.  Miss Johansson’s styling for these Moet ads are so lovely.  I love the side-swept hair,  the volume, and I love the lips.  I’ll have to think about how to pull off a bold lip with the photos and kissing that will be happening on my wedding day. Hmm… thoughts?

  1. I think a bold lip is totally doable! Just get one of those lipsticks or glosses that finishes matte and is long wearing. I have one from Revlon that pretty much stains my lips — you can eat, drink and kiss all day long and that stuff is still there! If you don’t want it to appear matte in photos, just add some gloss on over it. I say go for it!

  2. I love these images. I’ve actually looked at them a few times throughout the day =)…that hair is perfection with such a sumptuous dress. I can’t wait to see your interpretation!

  3. YES to this-seriously, you must!

  4. I can totally see you doing this!! Go for it, you zexy kitten. Your new hubbie will likey.

  5. Just find a good lip stain!! You will have to experiment with some. If you want a little bit of shine, just add a bit of lip balm or chap stick after the stain dries. We use lip stains in shows all the time, especially if we have stage kisses :)

I tried to link you with some good lip/cheek stains but it told me that looked too spammy. So I will just type out brands. We use Benetint at the theater, but there are some better brands out there, with more color choices. Liptini Lip Liqueur, Mark Kissink Lip Tintmarkers, & Vincent Longo Lip, Cheek Gel Stain are a few that I have heard of, or seen others use (never used them, because they’re expensive- worth it for a wedding though :) Good luck!
