sisters

This weekend I get to see my sister. I am giddy even thinking about it. Katrina lives in Austin these days, with no plans on moving back to Dallas (who could blame her).

I am happy for her, and I love going to Austin, but I am seriously missing her. Especially this time of year. We are four years apart, and when we were younger we bickered all the time. We both have fairly strong personalities, opinions, emotions, so things can still escalate quickly, but she is the only person in the world who never judges me. I mean, never. Wait, not true. She has been known to question my singing ability and my use of the words totes and amazeballs. I don’t even know how to do that. We can be so in sync, I love laughing with her. I miss planning parties, laughing, singing to musicals while in PJs putting on makeup late at night. Mandy Moore. I just miss that little face right now. In the midst of all this missing I popped onto the Glamourai and found these killer sister pics awaiting me. Wow, do these sisters have killer style or what? And so sweet together…

  1. Aww, I know how you feel! I get my sis for 6 out of the 10 days I’m home and I already know it won’t be enough time! We are four years apart as well, but we get along much more now than we were did when we were growing up. Thank goodness!

  2. I have a little case of sister envy!

  3. I never had a sister, I have a younger brother who is five years younger. We are finally getting to that point where we are getting closer and seem to be on the same wavelength! :) Have so much fun with your sister!

  4. I am the oldest of three girls and the older we get the more us three sisters realize how important and special our relation is. It really is true that no one knows you like family and the sister bond is a special one. We will all be together this holiday season and I can not wait for some quality sister time. These pictures are really cute.

  5. Having a sister is such a gift. I don’t know how people make it without one. Precious pictures and story :)
